![]() Chord Track says Cmaj7, midi track will have C, E, G, B. Plainly said, it will create a midi part, and fill it with the right notes, as defined in the Chord Track. I use Cubase mainly for editing live recordings. ![]() ![]() I use the MIDI keyboard mainly for composing in Dorico and don’t do much MIDI work on Cubase. It works fine, but the display has been broken for years, and it doesn’t really have any other controls that would interact with the DAW. I’ve noticed in the forum, that many people are having difficulty mapping their respective controllers with the new MIDI Remote section of the Editor. Function:When you have a track selected (Instrument, MIDI), giving this command will realize the chord track. I have been using an old Yamaha synth as my MIDI keyboard. So it’s not that it’s not getting signals. I do notice that the MIDI signal indicator at the bottom of the Cubase screen does in fact show that it IS receiving MIDI messages with every press of the buttons, faders and knobs of the device. But as usual, the keys and pads all work fine. Also, the Transport and onboard Edit buttons on the controller (Undo etc) do not work. My USB keyboard is well detected by the software (It appears in MIDI device and MIDI signal is send when I press the keys). I will ask Yamaha to provide this SX900 device file, but I need to know what kind of file to ask Yamaha support group. However this keyboard is not in the device list. After that, I can no longer add additional faders and I give up. I just used Cubase Artist after a little break and the coming of 10.0.30 update, and now I have a problem that I didn’t have before. Hello, I am trying to set up an external Midi keyboard (Yamaha SX900) with Cubase. It does create a new fader wherever I click within the editor, but moving the second fader does not control it and now the first fader no longer moves the first fader in the editor but instead tries to move (albeit very erratically) the second fader representation in the editor. At the top of the mapping editor it says to click on an empty space to create a new control, or something like that. Moving fader 2 does not create a new icon (control) and the first fader that was created now no longer appears to function. Out of the blue, for the past 2 days, pressing some keys on the vintage Korg will trigger off certain commands in Cubase 12. I’m using a vintage Korg O1/W Pro keyboard for sequencing since day one. I’m using Cubase 12 and do not use any MIDI Remote Controller as confirmed/shown by Key Editor. But when I click on the fader tab on the far left to start mapping the faders, only the first fader creates a new icon. Hello everyone, Greetings for the New Year First time writing here and need your help urgently. When using the new MIDI Remote setup, turning each of the encoders creates a new icon for that particular knob. My system is Windows 11 Pro, Cubase 12 Pro and a Focusrite 18i8 Scarlett 2nd gen audio interface. Like many others, I’m having trouble mapping my MIDI controller keyboard.
